Castor Oil Challenge: Thicker Eyebrows

For the past couple of years I have been trying to get one of my eyebrows to grow in thicker.  My brows aren't too thin, but I like thick brows and I have one that is fairly thinner than the other.  It seems no matter what I try, my one brow will not grow in so I've had to use various powders and pencils to fill it in and get it to match my other brow.

I've tried numerous brow products such as, Hydropeptide and Obagi, but they didn't make much of a difference in my brow growth. Lately, I've been hearing a lot about Castor Oil and it's ability to help grow in lashes and brows so I've decided to give it a shot since nothing else has worked for me.  I bought my bottle of Castor Oil from Whole Foods.  I started my Castor Oil Challenge last night and am planning on applying it once a day, right before bed.  I use a q-tip to dab a small amount to the sparse areas in the brow that I am trying to grow thicker.  I'll report back in about 8 weeks to ensure that I've given it enough time to work.  Let me know if you have had any experience with Castor Oil and how it worked for you.

Unveil Gorgeous Skin this Summer

I love winter, but the cold weather is really harsh on my skin.  Since summer is only a few months away, I wanted to make sure that my skin looks it's best.  In order to get great skin by the time the warm weather rolls around, you have to prep now.

I've been using Vaseline Total Moisture lotion on my arms and legs to keep them moisturized and combat dry, dull skin.  Vaseline is one of the best lotions and absorbs quickly into your skin.  It doesn't leave any greasiness behind and it makes your skin super soft.  I like using Vaseline twice a day to get the most benefits.  I lather it on in the morning and then before bed.  I already see the improvement it is making in my skin texture, even the rough patches at my elbows and knees.  If you use it consistently, you will have radiant looking skin by the time your ready to slip out of those winter layers and into your light summer wear.  I've been using Vaseline so much, that my supply is almost out, but, thankfully, the Style Hunters are sending me two 3 oz bottles so that I can keep one at home and take one on the go.  Vaseline Total Moisture comes in 3 varieties so you can find your favorite.  I personally love the Cocoa Radiant.  If you've been searching for a dry skin fix, Vaseline will do the trick and ensure you get glowing, gorgeous skin you'll be proud to show off this summer.

Aveda Invati: Final Decision

I've been using the Aveda Invati Scalp Revitalizer for about 2 months now so I've had a good chance to really evaluate it and see if it's actually worth all the money (retail $60).  When I first started my using Invati, I was looking for it to help thicken the front of my hair a little bit in the regions around my hairline.  I focused on the areas at the front of my head where I parted my hair because I felt that those parts (middle part and a left side part) were a little too wide for my preference.

I used the Invati spray consistently twice a day for the past couple of months and massaged it into my scalp for about a minute.  After all this time, I'm happy to report that the Invati Scalp Revitalizer DID work to minimize those parts/seams in my hair so that they are not very noticeable.  When I looked closely at the area where I  part my hair in the middle, I found tiny hairs growing there so it's clear that the Invati is stimulating hair growth.  I also saw the hairs growing in the left side part of my hair.  Both of these are the places where I concentrated spraying the Invati a few times, twice a day.  Right now the hairs are small so they aren't making a big impact, except for helping with the areas where the parts of your hair show.  However, in a few months, when they have grown longer, I believe they will make the front of my hair look thicker since there will now be new hairs in these areas.

Overall, I'm impressed with the Invati spray, but I feel that you definitely need a few months to fully see the effects of it, especially since hair takes time to grow.  I'm still using the original bottle that I purchased so the it does last awhile particularly, if you are only using it on one specific region.  I'll probably need to repurchase the spray in another month or so, but 3 months worth of product for $60 doesn't make the price tag seem so outrageous.  Because of the great results I've gotten with the spray, I'm going to be incorporating the Invati Shampoo and Conditioner into my routine to see if using the whole system will make the hair growth faster.
